Innovanet: business system with Peppol e-invoicing and an AI assistant

Invoices in one program, attendance in a spreadsheet, contracts in a shared folder and approvals by email. On top of that, mandatory electronic invoicing from 2027. What is Innovanet

Innovanet is a Slovak application (SaaS) that runs in the browser and on mobile without installation. Employees, managers and the accountant work in one system with the same data. The interface is available in Slovak, Czech, English and German, and each user chooses their own language.

It helps sole traders, small companies and larger organisations simplify administration, automate everyday tasks and keep an overview of what is happening in the company.

The modules are connected. An order follows from a contract and leads to an invoice, approved leave shows up in attendance, and a project task appears on the employee's dashboard. Nothing has to be retyped from one program into another.

Peppol e-invoicing

From 2027 Slovakia is introducing mandatory electronic invoicing between companies over the Peppol network. Innovanet is ready for it:

• it sends issued invoices via Peppol in UBL 2.1 format according to EN 16931,
• it receives e-invoices from suppliers directly into received invoices, where they continue through approval and payment,
• it also exports invoices as ISDOC for partners in the Czech Republic and as PDF with a payment QR code.

The company therefore needs no separate e-invoicing provider or extra program. E-invoices are created and arrive where the company already works with invoices.

AI document extraction

Retyping data from paper receipts and PDF invoices is wasted work. In Innovanet:

• you take a photo of a receipt and the AI fills in the supplier, company ID, date and amounts by VAT rate,
• you upload a received invoice (PDF or photo) and the AI extracts the supplier, invoice number, dates, amounts, VAT breakdown and payment details,
• the original document is attached as a scan and you only check and confirm the data.

Documents are processed via API without being stored by the AI provider and are not used to train models. Innovanet monitors and limits AI usage for each company.

AI assistant via its own MCP server

In the Cloud and Enterprise plans, Innovanet has its own MCP server (Model Context Protocol) with more than 100 tools. You can connect Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Microsoft and GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, OpenAI Codex or any other MCP-capable AI assistant. ChatGPT and claude.ai connect by signing in via OAuth, with no token copying.

You tell the assistant what you need in plain language:

• “Which invoices are overdue and who owes us the most?”
• “Which contracts end this month?”
• “Who is at work today and who is on leave?”
• “What was the cash flow in September?”

The assistant reads partners, invoices, payments, contracts, orders, projects, attendance, assets, ServiceDesk and reports. With your consent it can also write: tasks, tickets, bookings, leave requests, check-ins and check-outs, notes or receipts.

AI security: the assistant always works with the permissions of a specific user and sees only what that user sees. It never deletes or pays anything, every call is logged and access can be revoked instantly at any time.

After import, bank statements are automatically matched to invoices by variable symbol and amount. Payment orders for approved received invoices are created with one click.

Approvals, attendance and HR

Received invoices, orders, leave and requests go through approval directly in the application. Everyone sees what is waiting for them, and the company has a history of who approved what and when.

Employees record check-ins and check-outs from a computer or mobile. Absences, public holidays and attendance correction requests are in one place. At the end of the month the company closes attendance and sends payroll data to OLYMP.

Security and data

Each company has its own separate database. Processes are aligned with ISO/IEC 27001. Sign-in is protected by a password, an authenticator app code or a passkey, or by signing in with Google or Microsoft. Changes and access, including operations by AI assistants, are recorded in the activity log. For Enterprise customers we can also deploy Innovanet on their own server.
