Architecture that keeps pace with the company
IT architecture design, technology strategy and roadmap — for companies that want to know where they are going, not just where they are. Independent advice without selling specific products.
IT architecture is the foundation that holds everything else. When it's bad, every new system adds complexity, integrations are fragile, and every change is risky. When it's good, new systems are added smoothly, the team understands the environment, and the business can grow without IT holding back.
We help companies to design or improve IT architecture — from the evaluation of the current state through the architectural design to the implementation roadmap. Independently, without interest to sell specific products.
Why it makes sense
A clear picture of the current state
Inventory of systems, integrations, dependencies and technical debt — a documented picture of what you have and where the risks are.
Roadmap with priorities
What to do now, what to do in 12 months and what is the 3-year ambition — with realistic estimates of costs and benefits.
Independent referrals
We do not sell specific products. We recommend a solution that fits your environment, team and long-term strategy.
Reducing technical debt
Identification of obsolete, unsuitable or redundant components — and a plan to replace them without disrupting operations.
What you get
- AS-IS analysis (inventory of systems, integration, dependencies)
- Assessment of technical debt and risks
- Design of Target Architecture (TO-BE)
- Gap analysis (where you are vs. where you want to be)
- IT roadmap with prioritization and estimates
- Make-vs-buy evaluation for key components
- Architectural review of existing solutions
- Advice on the selection of technologies and suppliers
Ako postupujeme
- 01
Discovery
Interviews with key stakeholders (IT, management, users), review of existing documentation and analysis of the environment.
- 02
AS-IS documentation
Mapping of systems, integrations, data flows and IT organization. Identifying pain points and opportunities.
- 03
TO-BE proposal
Target architecture corresponding to the business strategy, security requirements and realistic possibilities of the company.
- 04
Roadmap and presentation
A prioritized transition plan from AS-IS to TO-BE — iterative, with minimal impact on operations and with measurable milestones.
What is technical debt and why to solve it
Technical debt is a metaphor for decisions that were quick then, but hold us back today. An old server that "runs and nobody wants to touch it". An integration written ten years ago without documentation. An application that only one specific employee can fix.
Technical debt accumulates. Companies that ignore it pay interest: greater fragility, slower changes, higher incident rates, and the departure of people who are tired of fighting the environment.
The solution is not always "redo everything at once" — that is too expensive and risky. It's an incremental, prioritized plan that reduces technical debt and improves the architecture every year.
When IS and is NOT a good time for an architectural review
It is a good time when:
- You are planning a larger IT investment (new ERP, cloud migration, in-house development)
- Incidents are increasing, integrations are unstable
- The new IT director wants to understand what he has taken over
- The company is growing and IT is not keeping up
- You are preparing for an acquisition or an audit
Not a good time when:
- You have an acute incident — deal with it first
- Management is not willing to invest in changes — analysis without implementation is useless
Make vs. Buy: when to develop and when to buy
One of the key architectural decisions. Custom development gives control and adaptability, but comes with development costs, maintenance and dependency on a development team. The finished product is a faster startup, but compromises in adaptability.
The decision depends on: differentiation (is it your competitive advantage?), availability of a suitable product in the market, internal capabilities and long-term cost of ownership. We will help you make an informed decision.
FAQ
Who is architectural consulting suitable for?
For companies that feel that IT is getting more complicated, more expensive or more fragile — but don't know where to start with a solution. Also for companies before a major IT investment who want to have an independent view.
Is it necessary to have a large IT architecture firm?
Nope. Companies with 50 or more employees usually have enough systems for the architecture to make sense. The sooner it is addressed, the cheaper it is to fix.
How long does an architectural assessment take?
It depends on the scope. Smaller business (50-100 employees) — 2-4 weeks for AS-IS analysis and recommendations. A larger company with a more complex environment — 6–10 weeks.
Can you also help with the implementation of the proposed architecture?
Yes. We can continue as a technical partner in implementation — development, integration or infrastructural changes.
Don't know where your IT is going?
IT architecture review answers this question. Schedule a call — we'll talk about your environment and estimate the scope.
